Alex B. Rainville and William B. Zastera were volunteer judges for Creighton’s Moot Court competition. The competition was for 2nd year law students, and was held at Creighton School of Law. Moot Court helps students become more comfortable formulating arguments and expressing them in front of judges.
Mary E. Vandenack will be inducted into the College of Law Practice Management during the 2017 Futures Conference. The conference is being held at the Ritz-Carlton-Atlanta on Oct. 26-27. Congratulations Mary!
Mary E. Vandenack attended the ABA RPTE in Monterey California. Mary is co-chair of the Futures Practice and Guidance Task Force. She collaborated with others to develop programming on artificial intelligence, cyber security, blockchain, generational issues, and Law firm business models that will respond and adapt to industry changes and technological developments.
Mary E. Vandenack attended the meeting of the Creighton Law School Advisory Board held at the School of Law Administrative building. Mary currently serves on the Advisory Board.
“Planning for Mental Decline,” and article by Monte L. Schatz was included in the Foster Group’s quarterly publication of “Vectors & Viewpoints” as well as their guest blog. The Foster Group is a privately-held, independent, fee-only investment and wealth management firm. The article provided an overview of preemptive legal steps that can be taken to protect individuals with dementia and assure continuity of their personal and financial care to avoid financial and personal abuse as well as avoid estate litigation.
