Carlton Wiggam brought his skills to Vandenack Weaver in 2017. From 2016 to 2017, he worked as a Research Attorney for the Douglas County District Court in Omaha, Nebraska. In this role, he gained valuable experience and keen insights assisting sixteen district court judges on a variety of legal issues. As a representative of the Court, Wiggam worked on a wide range of topics including contracts, family law, criminal law, county court appeals, and federal law. From 2013 to 2015, Wiggam was a law clerk for the Douglas County Law Library.
Wiggam received his juris doctorate from the Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska in 2015. A cum laude graduate, he was honored with the David A. Svoboda Trial Advocacy Award and CALI Awards (Legal Research and Writing). Carlton earned two Bachelor’s degrees from the University of Wyoming in Laramie. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities and Fine Arts in 2010 and a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2008. At the school, Wiggam was Treasurer of Kappa Kappa Psi, a National Honorary Band Fraternity, and member of the marching band. An Eagle Scout and avid college basketball fan, Carlton is a member of the Omaha Coin Club and volunteers for Habitat for Humanity.
